再試行となって文字起こしが進まない
iPhoneのボイスメモから音声データを読み込ませていますが、約8割の確率で文字起こしが途中で止まり、「エラー＝再試行」という表示が出て失敗してしまいます。
iPhone純正の文字起こし機能や「Notta」などの他サービスでは問題なく処理できているデータです。設定や音声フォーマットの変更なども試みましたが、状況は全く改善されません。

This rock solid voice memo transcription app is so far beyond all other apps like it that it might end your search instantly.
It’s easy to use, extensible, affordable, and has a thoughtful interface.
I’ve been disappointed by handfuls of other apps that are 2x+ the cost of Whisper Memos but also have 15 minute recording limits, have no integration capacity, or just stink at transcription.

I love the Whisper Memos app. It has increased my productivity and my ability to track conversations and extract key elements of the meetings by coupling it with ChatGPT. I love how it automatically sends me my transcript when I stop recording. I simply cut and paste it into ChatGPT, and it gives me a summary of my call and captures any of my assigned tasks. There may be simpler solutions. But this is the most cost-effective and easiest.

So easy to use!!!
This has a button on my Apple Watch. I don’t care what I’m doing, I can hit that button and know that I’ll have up to 90 minutes of voice notes transcribed in my email inbox when I’m done.
Lately I’ve been doing home remodeling and it’s so handy to just describe what I’m measuring and the final measurement, have my watch microphone pick it up, and then extract the values from my email.

I have been doing voice dictation for over 20 years, beginning with Dragon for Windows and meditation of this. Dictation is faster and easier to use than anything I’ve used before.
One dictation app that actually works
I wanted to record this review using Whisper itself because it’s one of the few dictation apps that actually works.
Most dictation apps have weird quirks, don’t get updated, or fail in small but frustrating ways. This app is worth the money because the developer keeps putting real effort into it. The changes are not always huge, but the app keeps moving forward with new models, new features, and steady improvements.
Most importantly, it works reliably. When everything else fails, this works. That’s amazing, and I highly recommend it. It’s worth the investment.
I do have one feature request: I’d love to see light LLM processing beyond summaries. For example, cleanup grammar, remove repetitions, lightly rewrite while keeping the original style, or format the output as meeting notes, a text message, or a polished paragraph.
Right now, I have to copy the text to the clipboard, paste it into ChatGPT, process it there, and then bring it back. That feels unnecessary. These common LLM cleanup and formatting features would make a lot of sense as part of this application.

Great app and quality transcripts
This is an amazing new app for me to note down my thoughts from my watch. The quality of the transcription is amazing. It send an email with a nice subject header title.

Seriously, you WILL lose a precious memory. It crashes in the middle of recording. It crashes at lock screen.

This one doesn't cost $15/mo like you wrote, and we had close to none reports of crashes among thousands of users. Any way, we're happy to figure out what happened there. I'm a bit sad you didn't email us in the first place, we respond to all emails within a few days.

Love this app for my watch. I'm a stay at home working mom. Being able to tap record my quick thought or thing I need to remember so that I can review at the end of night to add things to grocery list or checklist is amazing! I've need something like this for years since I can't carry a Pena ND paper with me everywhere. Dirty hands cooking no biggie I tap the scrron on my watch with my nose and save my memo! Love this app!

Don’t buy. It is garbage
This app is completely useless. You need to pay at least a few bucks a month for something you typically use only a few times a day, yet it is super slow. It is so slow, it is unbearable.
You can imagine the computation is very low for the inference, but it is terribly slow. This should be worth less than $1 a month at most, but they dare to charge $4 a month even with a discount. It is worth nothing.
Besides, you lose your purchase status from time to time. In the past few months, my purchase has disappeared a few times, and I have to restore it every time.

Impressive
Really impressive voice notes app. This is very actively developed with new, thoughtful, features added frequently. It doesn’t bolt on unnecessary AI “second brain” type features - instead it focuses on easy, quick capture and output. The main feature here is the ability to quickly generate summaries. These outputs can (optionally) be emailed automatically, making this a fantastic quick capture tool.
