Camera flash malfunctioning
While I love the app it is extremely frustrating to keep pressing the flash and get no response until the tenth time and then to hope and pray that the On will work and I won’t have to again click the flash ten times. Would have been nice if there was a setting that allows me to just keep the camera flash on every time I take a picture.

Auto adjustment no longer working
Since the latest update. Auto adjustment feature and auto framing no longer works.
Still immensely useful
And I will keep buying the paper, but the automatic selection of mail, Evernote, Dropbox seems to be broken

What is the point ?
This app was great : if use to take the picture on its own and make the adjustments to reframe perfectly my scaled sketches. Now, even with the auto adjustment button on, I have to reframe and make the adjustments... which is less than ideal. the all point of the app is lost.

Does NOT integrate with Evernote
It scans the documents really well but does not integrate with Evernote properly. Instead of uploading the images to an Evernote page it either uploads multiple of one image or no images.

The app doesn’t work anymore
I used to love this and use it all the time but now instead of scanning the notebook all the app does it take a picture, which is pretty useless :/. I tried every suggestion mentioned in the reviews and online but nothing helps.
I want the whitelines paper to show
I want an option where I can leave the grid of the whitelines paper rather than having to adjust the contrast every time.
I personally like how whitelines paper looks and I don’t want a scanner that takes that away. Other than that, I like how fast it scans my paper.

THE NEW UPDATE IS HORRIBLE
This app was perfect, I bought new notebooks because Ibwas obsessed with them. The new update screwed everything, it is almost impossible to scan now. It creates massive pdfs that take too much time to send. Also, interface lags all the time. My time scanning docs went from 15 seconds to 5 minutes each. Can i get the last version back please??

New update ruins scanning capabilities
Firstly, I love Whitelines notebooks. They’re absolutely great for taking notes: good quality, nice paper. My issue is simply with the new update to the app.
I was using my notebooks for my hw: scanning it, then uploading directly to google classroom which made things incredibly easy.
However the new update is has screwed up the scanning capabilities of this app. It takes an incredibly long time to recognize my nb page (when before it took mere seconds), and even when it does so, it doesn’t recognize the edges of the paper correctly, and scans it as a photo instead of the cleaned up, white background pages it had before. I can get it to scan like the old way, only after several attempts, and a very long time holding my phone absolutely still, parallel to the page, even though before this update it had no trouble identifying the pager margins correctly and scanning my notes beautifully. The old scanning features were fine!

Please read this:
I just really want an app that you can use for absolutely free where you can create hand written notes or drawings on an iPad! I just wish you could make it possible to put pens and colours onto this app and this would be the best ever!
Absolutely unintuitive for organization
First, I have to caveat that this review is about the app only. The Whitelines paper is an absolute joy, hands down my favorite paper to use. But about the app...
1. I use the Engineering Pad paper. Anything I write outside of the grid is not captured by the app when you scan it. It's just truncated. This is silly; the app sees the registration marks, so it should be able to capture the page boundaries, not just the limitations of the margins.
2. Whatever GUI kit the app uses, it's horrible. It looks and feels absolutely nothing like an iOS app, at all. Illogical icons, icon placement, lack of options, ... it makes no sense.
3. The paper has preprinted boxes for email, Dropbox, and Evernote. But I can't find any way to configure them to do anything. At all.
4. If you click on "organize...", and don't know what you're doing, you can easily split apart multi page PDF scans, and lose the renamed filename (which is one of the few organization pieces of information you were able to provide).
Great paper. Useless app. The company ought to work with or partner with Rocketbook. I know it's a different philosophy, but at least Rocketbook's app is functional, and able to configure destinations and organize scans semi-intelligently.

Use to Work
I have been using this app for my school work during 2020 and the last update that rolled out about 2 days ago seems to have completely messed the app up for me. Insanely hard to scan my paper, Whitelines paper, properly and I can no longer email myself a pdf of my work or notes. Without being able to do this anymore, I don’t really see a point in using this app any longer. Two stars since it used to be a great app but unfortunately no longer works properly.

Convenient and Simple
As someone who often misplaces her stuff, having whitelines is really good. Especially when i write notes for all my modules in University, using Whitelines make storage really simple. I can access my notes anywhere and anytime now, even if I lose my physical notebook. Sharing notes also became really easy. Really convenient!

Does not work
Tried scanning my drawing and it did nothing and kept saying nothing was there
Such a clever App
I travel to school everyday via the tube and trust me, trying to revise for tests in the tube is NOT a good idea. I’m so grateful for Whitelines because the app enables me to be able to revise without having to carry all my revision notebooks. I am definitely more of a writing gal as appose to a tech person and I am so happy that I can still review my notes via my phone rather than having to type it all up onto a document. Such an easy app and an absolute must buy.
