Upset that app is being discontinued
I’ve had this app and my thermostat for over a decade and it works great. Now I get a notice that the app is being discontinued and my wifi thermostat can only be used manually. Wish the would transition us to another app instead of forcing me to buy and install something I don’t need. Bummed out.

Hard to believe the app is being shut down in May of this year. It’s been a great tool till now and can’t believe this company is leaving us high and dry.
Please extend the life of this app beyond May 15, 2023, for use with the CT50!
We love this app and use it regularly with our CT50 thermostats. However, Radio Thermostat recently informed us that “the Radio Thermostat mobile app is being discontinued and you will no longer be able to control your thermostat with internet connected devices.” When I followed up with Radio Thermostat, I was told “Unfortunately EnergyHub is discontinuing the mobile app for our WiFi thermostats and we have no control over this.”
EnergyHub - please extend the life of this app, for use with the CT50, for several more years. Thanks!

Garbage software and abysmal support
When it works, it’s great. If it crashes for some reason, be prepared to go absolutely insane with their poor support and lousy online resources. Good luck finding a phone number to talk to anyone. Their online read like this: “Just connect to WiFi. You’re good!” If it won’t, good luck finding anybody to help or any means of figuring it out with online resources. Total joke. Go elsewhere.

Switched internet provider will not connect
This is a terrible experience, I connect to the temporary network as instructed and it fails at firmware update and tells me to reset the thermostat. This is a infernal loop with no end, no help anywhere. I’ll just replace it and never purchase another filtrate thermostat again.
Needs update
Why do they currently sell these but yet the app hasnt it been updated for three years? I just recently had a piece of hardware where the app had not been updated and I got a new iphone and the app is no longer available. So the hardware is worthless. Apple has been auto deleting older nonupdated apps. This one isn’t even updated for larger screens- almost 4 years without an update. Otherwise I have loved the functionality over the years.

Pretty good
Don’t listen to the idiots that complain about their WiFi and connecting. The iPhone app is simple clear and functions. No need for pretty colors for the app… on/off, Cold/Hot is all you need.. if you want to set away temps, you can, if you’re on your way home from work/play.. you can set your temps while away from your phone. You don’t need to be a techie to manually turn on/off.. it’s not like a NEST, but it’s a simple 1 time process, then it becomes easy to do. Even a caveman can do it, just not a Princess.. I say 4 out of 5 because the thermostat itself doesn’t illuminate and the thermostat itself can be hard at first to understand. But once you understand, it’s simple.. just not very user friendly

Nice and simple.
I’ve had this thermostat for well over 5 years. Not quite sure but it’s been a long time. A few times it’s lost connectivity. But seems like overnight it would find connection again. Now if I can remember to change the batteries. I just love the ability to know what’s going on when I am away. I still love it after all these years.

The only App with the best exclusive feature!
I have used several smart thermostat apps (ex Emerson,ecobee, Honeywell) that are newer and prettier then the 3M CT50 that came with this app. But I ended up going back to this feature filled app. This app is very comprehensive and intuitive. And the best think that I love is the “Runtime per hour” features which keeps track of how many minutes it runs per hour. It also puts in a graph with bars in minutes. The apps stores this information for as long as you own the app so you can review all your info for years back. No other app has this feature.

App stopped working
I’ve been using this app on 3 thermostats for years on multiple iPhones. Recently I cannot access my thermostats via my iPhone but the PC version still works. I’ve updated the password multiple times. Didn’t help. I removed and reinstalled the app on the phone - didn’t help. Can’t find a way to communicate directly with the developer on their website. Is it time to give up?

WiFi Problems
Periodically if I have a utility power outage I lose my WiFi connection to the thermostat and no mater what I do I cannot reconnect the thermostat to the WiFi even after rebooting the modem and router. Unfortunately you can not operate the thermostat settings (temperature, fan and on/off) directly from the thermostat panel when there is no WiFi connection. You have to be a techie to follow the setup procedures, it is not user friendly. iPhone screens are not intuitive to use or the titles used for functions and colors are really not like those normally used on programs. No response from support or emails. Other than getting standard answers that really don’t answer the questions. It would almost be easier and cheaper to go back to an old fashion thermostat.

No support - cannot reconnect once offline
Programmable thermostat from 3M use to mean something- reading all their support online & no options there for a solution. Just another thing in our throw away society...nothing these days is built to last & no US Support line to call or any visble phone support. I will not put my trust again in this company or waste my money. Customers mean nothing to you if you offer no tier 2 support.

Horrible
I switched our WiFi to a new provider, & keep trying to add our thermostat on the new network so that I can use the app to control it, it keeps getting to “switch screens & join the network thermostat-xx-xxx then come back once you’ve done that” and nothing ever happens from there. This thing was always a pain to get on the network, but at least I could eventually get it to work. Now it’s useless! I’ll be buying something else & never recommending this one to anyone!

Won’t sync
The app says connect to the thermostat’s network and then go back to the app. When I do that nothing changes, I’m stuck at the screen where it tells me to connect to the network even though it is.

They have given up on this product! Return it ASAP if you bought one.
I have 2, one being fairly new. They both stopped working and they no longer offer phone tech support. After about 3 weeks of email back and forth the person basically gave up on trying to figure it out and left me without a resolution and 2 non working thermostats.

Over a decade of use
I have used this in conjunction with one thermostat and added a second a few years ago. When I first started using it I occasionally lost connectivity. I’d say for the last 7 years I don’t remember having a single issue. It is easy to set up and use. It is more versatile than I need in terms of settings. It is easy to modify to tailor the settings for your home and comfort level. The radius feature is a great option to save energy when everyone is away. I’m very happy with it and will continue to use and promote to others who ask my advice.

I’ve had it for years. Works perfectly.
I have the 3m Filtrete or whatever it is called. I HATE the interface. However the iPhone iPad app work so well I have never even used it. Keep my hear off, auto turn on when I get near or whenever I want.
