Want to love; Hard to read
It was not until recently that I even had knowledge of the library app which sounds crazy…but listen, I have kids and they love the cards. However it was a pain to juggle all of them and I was told I could load them all into the app and never lose my card again (gasp!) As a person with chronic ADHD who loses everything I needed this in my life. So I uploaded all 6 cards and I thought my life was going to change. And for a moment it did. I was able to check holds, see which books were coming due, and look and see if the library had a book my kids wanted. And then, those dreams went to die, just like all of my kids missing socks. It doesn’t matter if I’m on WiFi, network, standing in the library, on my head, or begging to the phone to please open this glorious app, it simply pretends to load and then kicks back to the “please make a selection.” App, you know which library I go to, I have already told you the 10 other times I clicked you! And nothing is more comical than going to the library with arms (and crates) full of books only to stand at the desk and go “umm your app isn’t working so I can’t access my card that you told me I could access last week.” Only to be told, “Yeah, the app is pretty terrible.” WRL, as an active adult reader and a child wrangler of active squirrel readers I beg you, please fix the app. In standard time. Like now.

Ongoing Issues
Significant ongoing issues since the roll out of this new app. Every time you open the app it has to “reload.” If I am comparing my holds to my good reads app, every time you flip back and forth it is a wait. Recently there was an issue where barcodes for checkout would not load. A second issue with the app force closing anytime you tried to search or click on a title. This issue was resolved in an update that now causes issues with placing holds. The button is no longer available in the app. Disappointing with the amount of funding that goes into the library for “extras” (laser engraving, embroidery machines, playgrounds, care closets, etc) that you cannot do something as simple as check out a book. It’s a library, books should be the priority.
