I have a sailing yacht on the South coast UK. I have used many weather sources, and Apps over the last 25 years. Windy.app far surpasses anything else I have used. All the relevant information is at my fingertips, including nine weather models, which display as a comparison- or just the best model for the sailing area. Wind direction, strength + gusts, temperature, atmospheric pressure, wave direction and height. At first the App looks a bit busy, but once you okay with it, you can see everything you need in one place. I understand that the App can be tailored to suit what ever outdoor pursuit you participate in.

A dream come true for professionals
I purchased the lifetime subscription for this application three years ago when I was making good money as a wildland firefighter. For that industry, being updated on weather conditions is paramount to the safety of countless lives. I’ve since used this app for operations involving agriculture and forestry, where rain, storms, and wind can affect an operational period. Thus far, in my experience, this is the most comprehensive app involving weather data, and I am especially thankful for the settings allowing which specific weather metrics to track on the radar, as well as viewing weather in specific coordinates as well as the input from specific weather stations. Thank you for offering a lifetime subscription and to the developers for allowing a platform to view all of the specific data.

Poor customer service
They make this app in such a way that if you don’t pay attention you click on the buy button all the time. After that is impossible to get your money back. I’ve been with customer service for 5 days and no refund yet.
Awesome weather app!
Best weather app I've used! My wife and I spend many of our weekends in the wilds of Idaho without cellular service; I love that the app saves the favorites forecasts for use off-line, and Windy helps you identify weather stations that are closest to your destination for the most accurate results.
It has also been very useful for planning the timing of our trips as the wind across the Idaho plain can often vary through the day, often in excess of 40mph... not fun when towing an RV!
If you fish or hunt, it can display sun rise and set with the same for the moon including the phase. Much of the input needed for most ballistic apps can be displayed, as well (though I wish I could find reported station pressure; thankfully iPhones have a built-in barometer).
I did spend several hours learning and setting up the app to fit my specific needs, but I plan to use it for many years, so it was totally worth it!
The app is excellent right now, and the developer continues to add upgrades and improvements. After using it for the one-week trial, it was an easy lifetime subscription decision for us!
