The app is horrible. I bought this partially because it shows indoor and outdoor AQI even on days where wildfires are filling the area with smoke and the AQI in my weather app shows bad, the app for Winix shows good. Same with indoor AQI. I also cannot select my city and have to select a major city about 15 miles away from me. Why is it too much to ask for my city to be listed. I also cannot name where my purifiers are and have to choose from preset seleciton

Who are the idiots who developed this app.? The device is utterly unstable as well as the app. A bunch of uneducated, inexperienced people developed this app indeed. Even with updates the app and the hardware is indeed NOT reliable. You need to manually re-connect the device to wifi each time even without plugging it off from the outlet to use the app. What a pathetic device and app..!! Too hilarious

I really want to like this product but it keeps getting disconnected from the WiFi and can’t find it requiring it to be reconnected. I own two and they both have the same issue. So if you are fine with a dumb air filter this does the job but for its app features it really leaves much to be desired.
Small, but quiet and powerful.
I ordered two of these units because they were voted as the best air purifiers out of a group of 20 on YouTube. So I bought two of them. One for my bedroom, and one for the rest of the house. Not only do they move a ton of air, they do it quietly and offer legitimate HEPA air purification. They have done an amazing job of keeping the smoke out of the house from the fires in the Western United States and Canada. I highly recommend these devices, as well as this app that is so simple to use. It isn’t even funny. It tells you the outside air quality, and if there’s any issues with the air quality inside the house, you were immediately notified so you can increase your fan speed. Absolutely love it, you will too.

The primary purpose of this app is to connect to and control the air purifier. However, each time you open the app, you are required to accept marketing ads and consent to the use of your data for marketing purposes. Additionally, the device frequentlyDisconnects, forcing you to go through a time-consuming and frustrating reconnection process due to repeated failures.

Every time. Same on Android so this is almost certainly a technical issue on Winix's side. PLEASE FIX.

App update required me to register and removed all my settings. This is not what I bought and I am not happy about it.
Terrible App
Ineffective; can’t even connect to wifi. Want to control your air purifier with the app or set schedules? Forget about it, it won’t work. Lag ridden, zero connectivity stability, just utterly useless.
Poor connection with auto mode
Failed to run schedules for many times per day…do I really need to connect with server to control my home device, if so why it failed so many times？

Latest Update Broke 5520’s App Control Ability
Please fix the ability to control the device from the app. Ever since the last update changes in the app don’t work.

After recent update I can not control air purifier and it will not run schedule. I am logged out very often as well
App Stopped Working after a couple days
I love the air purifier itself. However the app stopped working after a week!
I deleted and reinstalled the app several times and made sure that the WIFI signal I’m using is compatible with the unit but it won’t connect. It just randomly stopped working the afternoon of 8/3/2026.
I updated the app to the latest version but the app won’t recognize the wifi connection even when the air purifier unit itself has the wifi active and on.
What happened?!

No longer works
Came home to all units disconnected. Reconnected them all but the app controls no longer and neither does scheduling. Minutes later my entire account was deleted without authorization. WINIX HAS A DATA BREACH.
