Terrible App
Ineffective; can’t even connect to wifi. Want to control your air purifier with the app or set schedules? Forget about it, it won’t work. Lag ridden, zero connectivity stability, just utterly useless.
Poor connection with auto mode
Failed to run schedules for many times per day…do I really need to connect with server to control my home device, if so why it failed so many times？
Latest update screwed up connection
The latest update F up the app & refuse to connect even though I re connected at least 3 damn times!

Latest Update Broke 5520’s App Control Ability
Please fix the ability to control the device from the app. Ever since the last update changes in the app don’t work.

After recent update I can not control air purifier and it will not run schedule. I am logged out very often as well
App Stopped Working after a couple days
I love the air purifier itself. However the app stopped working after a week!
I deleted and reinstalled the app several times and made sure that the WIFI signal I’m using is compatible with the unit but it won’t connect. It just randomly stopped working the afternoon of 8/3/2026.
I updated the app to the latest version but the app won’t recognize the wifi connection even when the air purifier unit itself has the wifi active and on.
What happened?!

No longer works
Came home to all units disconnected. Reconnected them all but the app controls no longer and neither does scheduling. Minutes later my entire account was deleted without authorization. WINIX HAS A DATA BREACH.

Fan of the purifiers but not the software interface
I’ve been a long time user of Winix products and feel they do a good job of actually scrubbing the air and appreciate the function of turning on and off ionization. But the app and overall software CX is subpar for 2026. You can’t even customize the name of the devices except for selecting the preset room titles, which are limited. You also cannot reset the filter life from the app, you have to physically press the tiny reset button with a pin. These should be features on the app and I can’t believe they are not. The app feels like it was developed 10-15 years ago and hasn’t had a major update since.
The air quality data doesn’t show good historical data. The only good thing about the app is being able to turn on/off the devices via mobile app.

App frequently doesn’t let me log in
The air purifiers work well but the app is very frustrating. The app constantly logs me out and doesn’t accept my password when trying to get back in. I’ve changed the password multiple times but doesn’t seem to help at all.

Horrible App
We like the purifier but hate the app. Our last Winix had a physical remote control, but now they don’t have remote controls. You can either use the buttons on the machine or use the app. The app always reverts back to main display rather than staying on the “remote control” page in the app. All buttons on the remote page could easily be placed on the page without a need to scroll, but you’ll need to scroll. Just a horrible design of the app.

Basic app with limited functionality
The App is okay, it’s very basic, you can control the device. My frustration comes from connecting the WiFi. The first time you connect it isn’t to hard, but if you get disconnect, change your password or move, it’s not very user intuitive to reconnect. You have to literally removed the device reset and add it back on as a new device.
Furthermore the air quality settings are very delayed and hardly ever update. I could be cooking a steak on a cast iron with the windows closed, kitchen filled with smoke, and the filter will still say the air quality is good…
Plasmawave is supposed to help remove odors but doesn’t really help.

Won’t connect?
I Follow the instructions, connect to the device through the wifi settings and the app won’t update for the next step after you are connected. Basically useless right now.
Should’ve used Claude instead of ChatGPT to make this app
I have a quite extensive SmartHome, but this is by far the worst experience I ever had.

App never sent me an email confirmation code. Won’t allow me to sign up.

Marketing updates pop up
The air purifier is really great, and that app functions as needed. I would like some more detailed reports, but it’s not bad. However, everytime o open the app I get two back to back popups reminding me to consent to receiving marketing updates. I don’t want updates and will not consent but there seems to be no way to opt out of the popups. This cheapens the product in my opinion.

What a pathetic app
Was a pain to get hooked up to the internet, then it wanted an update after update to use. Like there is no way air filter needs like 6 updates over 3 months to keep working and then the insult is the damn keeps “losing connection”. Worst app ever. I feel they should pay me for all time they wasted.
