Use to be able to purchase scenes separately. Now they want a subscription. No thank you. I prefer to purchase what I want separately. Very disappointed.
Einmal Kauf ja, Abo nein
Die App ist an sich super aufn Apple TV, sowie es einen Einmalkauf für die entsprechenden Feuerstellen geben würde, so dass die Werbung fürs Abo dann weg ist, wäre ich sofort dabei. Ich nutze 1-2 Feuerstellen und die sind wirklich schön, da würde ich sofort 1-2€ pro Feuerstelle zahlen aber ein Abo? Nein Danke, ich zahle nicht für etwas ein Abo wo ich keinen wirklichen Mehrnutzen habe, denn ich nutze eben nur 1-2 Feuerstellen und nicht die anderen oder eventuell kommende andere (die Kaufe ich lieber dann um Werbefreie zu sein aber diese Option wird ja leider nicht angeboten).
Auch ist es bisschen nervig dass so zwischen 30-45 Minuten immer wieder die Abomeldung kommt, das bringt mich eher dazu die App zu löschen und eine andere zusuchen als das Abo abzuschließen.

Nag pop ups now?
This was good, and I did pay for some of the fireplace packs, but now there are popup “upgrade to premium” screens when I have it running in the background. Super annoying. Not cool devs. Dropped to 1 star due to being annoyed with a previously good app.
Screen issues when you x out of a fireplace
Like I love this app but the screen doesn’t let you slide back to the first fireplace in the list it like literally gets stuck and I have to kill the app to make it work and you forgetting some holidays like Valentines and St Patrick’s

Die App an sich ist klasse. Die Qualität der Kaminfeuer ist super und die zwei kostenlosen Versionen würden mir vollkommen ausreichen. Ich nutze die App schon lange, aber leider hat sich die Nutzererfahrung massiv verschlechtert.
Das Positive:
• Schöne, atmosphärische Feuerstellen.
• Gute Bildqualität auf dem Apple TV.
Das Negative:
• Abo-Zwang: Dass mittlerweile alle 45–60 Minuten eine Meldung erscheint, die zum Abo auffordert, ist extrem nervig. Es reißt einen komplett aus der Entspannung raus.
• Fehlende Kaufoption: Ich verstehe, dass Entwickler entlohnt werden wollen. Ich wäre sofort bereit, einen fairen Einmalkauf zu tätigen oder eine Spende dazulassen. Aber ein monatliches Abo für Hintergrund-Szenen, die ich nur gelegentlich nutze, kommt nicht infrage.
Fazit:
Früher war die App top, heute ist sie durch die ständigen Unterbrechungen leider kaum noch zu genießen. Wenn sich die aggressive Abo-Politik nicht ändert, werde ich sie wohl löschen müssen. Bitte bietet einen Einmalkauf an!

I’ve been a loyal customer for a few years now and this app has only gotten better! Sure the QR thing was a total bummer but you guys fixed that! For some reason my volume was turned off on the fireplaces so that I figured it out on my own! Looking forward to many more years with this amazing app!
Use to be good
We used this app for awhile and it was always pretty good until recently when they put an ugly QR code in the corner which you scan and it brings you to the App Store…. To the winter fireplace… that you’re currently already watching which makes no sense. I’ll see if it goes away in a few days, if it doesn’t I’ll delete and find something else. Only used it because of its convenience.
Update: as for the response I got from the developer. If it was a one time payment of $2-$4 I would have done it. But I’m probably in a large group of people that aren’t going to pay a monthly subscription for a fireplace. I actually found an awesome one for $3 and it comes with a bunch of fireplaces all in that 1 price.

Once the best
The fireplaces offered in this app are realistic. For years, the app offered a free fireplace which was now withdrawn and replaced by a time-stamped trialware. What‘s really annoying is the new popup button asking you to upgrade to a subscription plan. I would have paid for a decent one-time purchase, but another subscription? No, thanks.

I brought this app a few years back. Looks like there’s been an up date and now there is a huge QR code in the top left quarter of the sceen rendering the app useless.

I had this app for my Apple TV for years and it was great. There were 2 free options, and those were perfect for me.

Для получения полностью чистого изображения без QR-кода и доступа к полной библиотеке сцен, звуков и функций вы можете подписаться на Премиум Зимний Камин в приложении. It was a nice app until….
An update ruined it by adding a giant QR code watermark on the videos. Completely removes any ambience the fire effect gives you.
Permanent QR code ruins the app
I used this app for years and now there’s a permanent QR code when you play the fireplace scene. Really ruins the experience.
QR display
App was good at one time, however this season they display the QR box on the upper left with winter fireplace written above. Never had this before nor do they show in the app display. Why offer it at all for free, be up front. Very disappointed may have looked at other options, now just totally turned off.

The app is designed around the Premium experience, and the free scenes are meant as a preview, which is why a small QR code now appears there instead of fullscreen ads. For a completely clean image with no QR code and access to the full library of scenes, sounds, and features, you can subscribe to Winter Fireplace Premium in the app. The small subscription price helps me, as an indie developer, cover ongoing costs and continue improving the app, and I really appreciate your support.
No sound on iPad
Sound doesn’t work on iPad version, even reinstalled app and updated iOS. Works on iPhone however
