It’s ok but not great
I have the Apple weather app, The Weather Channel, WRAL Weather and Weather Underground.
Honestly my favorite weather app was Dark Sky. But since that has been decommissioned, I have to use something else. My go to for information density and accuracy is Weather Underground.
This app is too focused on stories and ad and so hides the information I want from a weather app:
Temperature (actual and feels like)
Humidity
Wind (speed & direction)
Pressure (current and trend)
Precipitation
Sunrise and sunset
Moon phase
The only time I really use WRAL Weather is for hurricane tracking

I think we should be able to go to the weather app and not have to listen to an ad for a video forecast.
WRAL is a go to for weather especially the app
The WRAL weather app sends notifications instantly to severe thunderstorm warnings to heat advisories it’s so awesome it’s amazing for everywhere especially North Carolina
Could/would use daily for weather but...
The ads interfere with using the app. Don't get me wrong, love wral, watch it on TV, and read their site; however, when it comes to checking the weather, I want in and out of my weather app as quickly as possible. I understand the need for the ads, but the fact I have to sit through them on the daily? I use other weather apps, some with a subscription etc. I keep wral weather app on my phone for the extreme weather info.

This app is one of the worst I have ever used. Totally garbage.
Accurate weather
Usually, when I look on Weather apps, they’re never accurate and they’re like completely off, but this one has a good accuracy on being the right temperature and what’s gonna happen most of the time except for when it snows

Why did you change it? I don’t like the new map, this app w t flip . Have reinstalled numerous times. Have to use other apps, that are flexible I. Please do back to old one, much nicer to navigate. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Can you lower speed of the weather fronts passing thru? They are jumpy . Also the cloud cover doesn’t move . Just sits .

Glad I just recently loaded the WRAL Weather app on my device! Just learned of the severe weather risks for tomorrow; it’ll be a WRAL Weather Alert day.
I love WRAL.
I’ve watched them all my life and they feel like family.
Inaccurate
I’m genuinely convinced WRAL exaggerates forecasts to drive engagement. Every system gets framed as a worst-case scenario, even when more reliable sources consistently show far milder outcomes. It creates unnecessary anxiety and makes it hard to trust what you’re actually seeing.
Great but needs a widget
Would be so more helpful with an iOS widget.
Lost metric/centrograde option
App used to be able to show centigrade. The rest of the world is metric. Why lose the option? Join the rest of the world in a system that makes sense.
Radar doesn’t work on iOS
Ever since this new version came out the radar will not load.
Not an improvement
WRAL is usually more accurate than weather channel. New iteration doesn’t seem to allow metric units to be displayed. Stupid, layout less readable. Would stop using this app if I lived somewhere else. several months later, they still haven’t fixed the allowing metric units .
Unusable
Latest update design is fine - nothing special. But it’s so buggy and relies too much on offloading key features that are the whole point of a native app to external web views (radar for example).
Radar doesn’t work at all in iOS anymore. Biggest downgrade to any app I’ve ever seen.

My go-to weather app
The national apps are often not accurate. The WRAL radar is better at showing actual rain at the current time. It also doesn’t look the same all the time like the iPhone weather app does.
