Disappointed
The weather hardly updates. If you’re looking at the 10 day, it’ll say the wrong forecast up until that day when even Channel 4’s TV broadcast changed the forecast days prior. So if you’re looking for up-to-date weather forecasts, this app isn’t it. Very disappointing.
Very undependablr
The app never reports the story advertised. It says one thing and when you click on it, it’s a completely different story. Very deceiving. Cmon wtae, man up and stop deceiving your readers.
Too many digital notifications Biased reporting
Digital alerts are excessive. Reporting is Op-Ed and politically leaning to support Democratic agenda. Needs to get back to basics. Just state facts and present both sides of news. In other words non-biased reporting
Slow news update
The other local news sites are faster updating. WTAE is always behind by hours.

I’ve had the WTAE ap for many years, just for local news. But I must say I am very dissatisfied when I start reading one of your articles, usually on the national news front, just to find how left of a bias there is. I happen to think Trump is doing an excellent job and I only want to read facts, not the personal (TDS) opinions that your articles so often reflect. Some are so bad, I just immediately leave the ap. If that’s what “news” has turned into, maybe each article should have two authors, so as to present both sides/opinions of the story being presented.

Old news
Clear out the old stuff. In the Good Housekeeping section there is a story about Christmas trees from 2022! Also two from 2024 and two from July 2025. It is October now.
Lately when I finish an article the app takes me back to the top instead of leaving me where I was in the app. Or while I'm scrolling down through articles it will take me back to the top. So annoying.

Headlines shown and old videos answer
Disappointing to see intro such as Diddy going to court and actually get a video of what happened a month ago. Or missing person found and get video he is reported missing.

This is the only station I watch for news, weather and sports! I’ve been watching this station since its inception!
Advertising
I don’t like each time I open app I need to hear an ad. Most of the time I just want to read the latest news not listen to it. I understand advertising is central to this app. However play ads on videos not when app is just opened.
App keeps returning to Home Screen
Every time I try to read or watch an article, in a few seconds it returns to their Home Screen. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but that doesn’t help. The link to WTAE support doesn’t have a good contact.
Frustrated with app
Just updated for the most recent version but stories still close and return to mainstream before you can read the entire story.
App crashes
I gave tried to address this under App Support but it doesn’t take me anywhere useful. This App has been crashing constantly for over a month. I’ve tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. What gives?
Great News, Bad App
I enjoy getting my news through WTAE, however every time I use the app it crashes & closes.

This app has gone downhill with too many ads and paid for content; I came for the news not advertiser stories.

I love this great source of news from Pittsburgh. They always have great news/breaking news and much more. Even the weather forecast is more accurate, it’s better than KDKA CBS News Pittsburgh, and WPXI Channel 11 News.
