Last 2 updates are troublesome
Can’t make changes to camera settings. Cameras may or may not record. Very distressing. I invested a lot of money in this product and support does not return email requests for assistance.
Wast of money!
I have three cameras and the all not losing at all it is been 4 month, I can’t even reach out for this Company، I send to many emails they don’t answer to fix my issue! Wast of money!
Service has gone downhill
I bought 18 cams for 3 properties and have been a customer for 3 years. The online access is the only way I can access my cameras and it’s being phased out. The app is junk. I log in and get a confirmation email notification my device is connected, but the app gets stuck on the login page. It won’t work on an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy.

Does exactly what I need
I’ve been using this service for 7 years and was shocked to see the poor feedback. My sister lives in same town and has a disability. Instead of dropping in twice a day I can use this system to check in. With the still picture views I can quickly tell she is ok without feeling like a voyeur. I have found this simple to set up and use and highly recommend it.

Other older model used to work well
I had one of the earlier versions of this camera + app + service and worked very well. With the new app, I can get *maybe* one single frame of video, but more likely the app just crashes. Pretty useless now.

The cameras perform very well. Had them for sometime and I’m the happy with the features. Even though it was free at some point and now is a paid service the overall value is better than anything out there (based on the number of cameras). Looked at other services, but y-cam came on top every time.

Garbage
Purchased this camera because of free 7 day cloud recording and now they took it away. If the free cloud storage was reduced to 1 day I would have been happy but now this camera is useless.
Works well but has monthly fee
I would not buy again. Camera is good but the monthly fee is not worth it. Only buy camera that has its own on board video storage.
App keeps crashing
After I have made the update. The app keeps crashing. It isn’t really working. Please advise.

Happy with service and camera
Have had the camera for several years and get excellent videos. A little unhappy about having to now pay for a week’s storage.

I bought two security cams w/ “free forever 7 day storage”, advertised on their site and w/ a big sticker on the box.
Within one year this became 7 day/3 yrs and then “no free storage at all anymore for you!” (and everybody else)
So cams are essentially useless for security purposes now, as only live feeds are working.
Do NOT promise me one thing, sell me stuff on that and then pull out.

Now subscription needed
Had the camera for almost 4 years and it served me well, together with the app. The fact that no subscription was required was the deciding factor for me to chose Y-cam. Out of the blue, now is a paid subscription needed in order to store the recordings. Would have expected to get grandfathered in at least an offer for a 1 day storage free model, but no. Camera is useless for me now. Very disappointed.

Sad
This camera used to have free 7-day motion detection and cloud recording which distinguished it from the many cameras out there. They dropped the free cloud recording out of the blue today, now need a subscription for what was free previously. At the very least should have continued to offer 3-day or even 1-day free cloud storage. Now it’s the same as any other camera you can get. I recommend shopping elsewhere. Previous review was 5 stars. Sad.

New version-location recording won’t reset
The newest version broke location recording. Can’t reset the location. Even after attempting to allow the app access to the gps, it goes back to never by itself. Arghhh.
Cannot beat this product line
I have had Y-Cam's for many years. The product always performs and provides a piece of mind when the kids arrive from school. This also keeps me aware of any people that are not supposed to be on the property.
Dependable
For the most part I'm satisfied. The audio is bad when voices are raised. The picture is ok. Unlike another camera I have from another maker, this camera rarely needs to be reset. It's simple to use. I would like the capability be able to talk back
