Great App; But No Darkmode
It's honestly fantastic! I'm really digging it, and it's become super useful for me.
The "Scout" feature, in particular, is a standout. I'm impressed with how you've integrated those inline citations; they make everything feel reliable and transparent. The answers I get are always spot-on, easy to understand, and having those references right there builds trust. You've truly done a good job with the accuracy and clear presentation, which really sets your app apart.
Now, constructive criticism... The only minor bummer for me right now is the absence of a dark mode. Honestly, these days, a dark mode isn't just a trendy look; it's huge for eye comfort and general usability, especially when I'm using the app for extended periods or late at night. That bright interface can get pretty harsh and tiring on the eyes after a while, which sometimes means I can only comfortably use the app during daylight hours. If you can do it in your mail app, you can do it in your search app.
Adding a dark mode would turn this into a 5 star rating. I bet it would please a lot of users to have this option and encourage even more frequent and unrestricted use.

Useless
Useless on an iPad.
Unable to open
Unfortunately since latest update I am now unable to open Yahoo search on iPhone 8 or iPad 4 just opens and closes which is a shame.

Honest opinion:
A refreshing take on search with an innovative way to personalize your homepage using AI feeds (tiles). Search seems to aggregate purple results, doesnāt lean politically more left or right. Huge step forward, Yahoo! Welcome back! Please add dark modeā¦. Solid 4.6

Since the update it will not openā¦.. you say itās for bug fixes but I didnāt have an issue since I installed this version
It gives you the description instead of the site
It gives you the description if you type it a web address instead of taking you to the site it just gives you a stupid description instead, I hate meta bs
Love the AI features
Iām very glad that Yahoo has implemented a generative Ai interface. It works well and is easy to use and navigate.
Awful now, worse than before
The new update is horrible. You type in a search and get nothing. You have to search the same thing a second time to get results. The new logo is an eyesore. Too many ads and interruptions same as before. Just as annoying as the Google app is now. Probably going to delete the app. Will use another search engine.

Please make it so the user may decide if they want the AI or the normal web browser because Iām tried of having to switch over every time I open the app

Bringing the web back!
The Scout search AI is exactly what we needed. Itās not trying to be your friend or guide your āFeelingsā. It gives you a great summary and answers questions with resource links to the information that you can go click, and learn for yourself. Itās super solid now, I canāt wait to see what it does in the future.

What a piece of garbage. No access to bookmarks or favorites. The view on my iPad is so small I canāt read it.

I donāt like it. I cannot find my bookmarks at the bottom. It doesnāt show a full page on my iPhone 16 Pro Max and I canāt for the life of me figure out why
