Doesn’t work
When I go to select what type of bulb I have, I get a blank screen…
Broken in iOS 26.5
While this app was always awkward, it at least did what it needed to do - control the company’s smart bulbs. But it became completely broken by iOS 26, insisting that Local Network access isn’t enabled for the app when it is, thus refusing to link to any of its expensive and now-useless bulbs.
Garbage
This app is now garbage it doesn’t work. It doesn’t see any of the products. I am pulling all of these out of our house trash don’t buy.
What Happened?
My Yeelight light setup, which I’ve had and loved for years, went from amazing to awful. For some reason, it now takes several minutes for the app to find the bulbs—previously it only took a few seconds. If I close the Yeelight app and reopen it, or if I go to a different app for more than a few minutes and then come back, everything is forgotten again. The app is up to date and my WiFi connection is strong, so I’m not sure what changed. Maybe it’s some classic planned obsolescence to get me to buy new bulbs. So I did…I switched to Phillips Hue and I highly recommend everyone do the same.

Everything is gone..
No support to the app. Everything is dead now. Logs you out, misses devices, can’t add new devices.. so sad..
Use to be good
The app when i first bought it about 5 years ago worked fine but now it seems everytime the app restarts the only way to connect back to my light i have to log out and log back in and that whole process makes it not even worth it i guess it’s just time to put this bulb to rest and get another brand 🤷🏽♂️

Stopped working
All devices/scenes disappeared, app is practically useless now
Use to be great.
Like all other reviews, the app use to function properly for years, now I have to log out of the app every time I want to turn my lights on or off. I hate giving it less stars as it worked so well for so long, but now it’s an every day annoyance when you’ve bought so many of them (recent additional purchases too)
Alexa still seems to be able to turn them off/on (not related to the issue) but that is only really useful for alarms/routines.

Nerfed everything
These yeelight smart bulbs worked great when I got them. The app controlled them very well.
Now they’ve changed everything. I open the app and the lights don’t respond. I have to seriously wait 3-4 minutes before they finally respond and are usable.
The api to control them with is a good indicator of what’s wrong. Something in the new firmware has made them unreliable. I’ll send a command via a script or even the app and there’s only a 10% chance they respond.
I bet if I bought the latest versions they’d work way better. I’m going to throw these lights away.

Works, but…
I’ve had these lights and this app for years. It works to do its basic job but every time I open the app now it shows I have no devices, so I have to log out (which freezes the app), close the app down entirely, then log in again. After that it has my lights but not the groups so I have to redo the groups every time if I want the whole room the same.

Abandonware
No longer functions as advertised. Several support requests have gone unanswered. They have abandoned this software and the users who purchased the lights that used it.
Widget is gone and not only that :((
I like the app and the bulbs are fine, but after upgrading my phone to 18.3.1 the widget is gone.. a few apps lost widgets, so shame on Apple for doing that. I’d really like the widget back, please.
And not only that! Once updated to iPhone 14 Plus I virtually can’t use the app as it doesn’t show any scenes! The app is just falling apart

Seems like updates have stopped
Been months since the app
Has worked , keeps asking to login, can’t find the lights anymore

Update: takes minutes to load when open. Can’t interest with lights.
Please fix the this huge delay.

I had this app for about 8 years. It's been great.
App is broken since IOS 26 Update. Can't add new device or any old ones that go offline. Xiaomi Home has the same issue. I used to be able to control my lights with both apps but now my lights have become paperweights. Please fix!!! I'll bring it back to 5 stars once it's been fixed.

The servers have become unbearably slow.
Often takes a full 2-3 minutes to load lights since the new iOS update. Crashes from time to time. App is clearly not compatible. The servers have become so so so slow.
Constant issues
Unfortunately, it’s not going to be a simple as pressing a button to turn on a light. The app constantly freezes. Also, you’re lucky if your lights are even connected when you open the app. I literally have to manually force the app to recognize my lights by refreshing the page every single time I open it. Why wouldn’t they already be connected and ready to interact with?? Idk what’s happened because it never used to be like this.

No longer works
This used to work and now the app just freezes. The light bulbs cannot be controlled any more. Not sure why this app is even on the App Store any more if it just doesn’t work
