Not a Solution
Purchased a two-pack of Yi cameras. The first one could not see the QR configuration code, the second one saw it and configured it, but no actual picture. App is deceptive and requires a subscription though i bought it primarily because I did not want a subscription. Returning the whole package.

Why would you remove basic functionality? The whole point of having a camera in my home is to be able to see what is happening, not watching commercials and paying extra for previous functionality.

Unusable
With recent updates, the app is unusable gets stuck with pop ups and you have to restart the app.

This company is very sneaky & has poor service, I uninstall all the cameras

You can’t skip the Subscription, and if you use the regular Yi home app, there are so many Ads that drive you crazy

if you want to hear waiting to connect and try and be sold a subscription before the camera will even work this is your camera. never could get it to scan. total waste of time and money.

Too many ads. Every time you open the app there is a long delay while it downloads and displays an ad. When you click a camera you are forced to watch an ad. When you exit a camera forced ad. When you zoom a camera and watch playback you are forced to watch an ad or popup every time you scroll the time. The app opens ad links in your browser which can be very dangerous. We are heavily imbedded and stuck using this eco system, I recommend you avoid it.

Always chasing a subscription
Cameras were ok now constantly being logged out with attempts to get you clock on subscription links, my YI Cameras will be going int he bin soon!

don’t buy. I have a WIFI Camera. They inundate it with ads and then force you into a subscription.
Disgusting trash
It used to be a good camera, I used it to keep my eyes on my place while travelling or more often on my dog while I was out. But now they force you to sign into a subscription, they said it was free for 3 days at least and I signed so I could use it for free temporarily but right on the next screen they asked me to subscribe for real this time! And it charged me right a way, event I didn’t want it! And after all those stupid things, I could not connect the camera I have for years. The camera basically doesn’t work anymore!
And the real joke: When I click on the support button they have available inside the app, it attempts to open my BUS APP! Yeah, for some reason support needs to know the track I take to work so they can properly help me. It’s disgusting to have cameras I had to pay and I cannot use it properly because a company just gave up everything and now they are only trying to use abusive and probably illegal ways to take money from you…

Terrible scammers
I can’t even get the app to stay open. They forced me into a 4.99 per week subscription during setup before showing anything and I can’t even open the app. Zero or negative stars would be the right rating on 5
Forced payment for app trial
I tried to sign up for a trial and after 3 attempts it actually charged me for the free trial and then the app would close every time I tried to log in.
Also despite this being a + version of the app that name is not reflected on the iPhone screen once it’s installed
