Annoyed

Loved this app. Used it. And everything. After 10 adverts said it was free. It’s not. 15 minutes of learning only a day. £109 for 12 months to get it unlimited. Unbelievable

No Gospel Music

Useful for singing, but I don’t like singing secular music, so the App feels inaccessible.

Where did all of the good songs go!

You guys removed a lot of the good bands and music from your platform. All of Metallica, AC/DC, etc. and you keep adding no name artists as a filler. You need to fix this before I cancel my subscription.

Lord dont buy this trash

Not only did it not help with my guitar skills at all but not tune well but it also costs money for simple things like learning chords?! All you do for free is do little tabs for free and not the songs youd like either they pick not you. Trust me when i say that tabs and chords is SO much better they even have people record themselves if they want and post it so others can learn and they have every song you can think of! Not to mention they dont only teach guitarists!!

Worth it

I have been subscribed to Yousician for about 6 years now. It’s been a great experience overall. I like to think of it like a gym membership. It keeps me motivated and practicing guitar (and piano) regularly. I like that it gives you real time feedback on your playing. It’s nice that new songs come out regularly and that they have multiple versions of varying difficulty.

There are a few things I wish the developer would change. Most importantly, tell us when a song is going to leave the game. Or, only add songs permanently. Nothing is more frustrating and demotivating than practicing a song for weeks only to find it gone from the game one day, never to return. This has happened to me way too many times.

Second, the riff lessons are really cool, but I can’t learn difficult riffs in those lessons because the tempo changes automatically, and you can’t turn it off. Even when you set it manually, it still changes automatically. You shouldn’t change the tempo while I’m playing the song. It is such a terrible experience. Please allow us to manually control the tempo. Honestly, it would be nice to have a uniform user interface when playing songs. For example, some songs allow you to practice by playing at your own speed, waiting for you to play each note but others don’t. There’s no reason for that functionality not to be available on every song.
