I am one of Zalat’s biggest all time customers and have been going to them for years. I love their pizza. But three years ago or so I had actually written into their corporate office the online ordering process had gotten so bad on their app. Well, it seemed like things had gotten better for a long time, but just last weekend, I tried ordering from the app and it never went through after applying my payment even though I knew my payment info and funds were correct/in place to make the purchase. I was so frustrated with them I ended up just making something at home. Then I learned that I’d actually gotten CHARGED for the pizza that their stupid app failed to tell me was actually transacted/purchased after all, despite the app never giving any kind of indication that the order had been successfully placed. Every time I would try and press checkout/pay or whatever the final button was I can’t remember, it would just get hung up and stay there like it had never gone through. It’s amazing how a company that does so much business can’t seem to figure out how to run a proper merchant app without bugs popping up for their customers in 2026 when we have AI and a plethora of various providers and vendors out there who are more than capable of building anybody a fully functional app capable of taking customer payments and transactions. Honestly an AI agent could probably do better. These guys must really not care about their customers all that much and this must just be some cash-generating machine to them they set and forget. Almost completely over it.

We're truly sorry — this is not the experience a long-time fan deserves. A checkout failure that still processed a charge is a serious issue, and we completely understand your frustration. Our team wants to look into both the app behavior and the charge right away. Please reach out to our support team and we'll make this right.
