I was having problems with the old app V 1.0 I sent a request for help to the support team and Rob came back to me and helped me update to the new app and sent me all the updated information I needed, got everything back on line, big thank you to Robert
I really hate this app and these cameras
The cameras were installed and I absolutely hate the app and the website. There is no user manual, the information online is not for the end user, rather it’s for the sales and installation people. I am not tech dumb, but I struggle to find what I need on the app. At the moment, I need to change the Wi-Fi settings as we have a new Wi-Fi provider and nowhere on the app can I see how to do this. I am also unable to remote access the cameras. I click on the arrow and nothing happens. I have had this system for more than 3 years and I absolutely hate it. So I currently have a system that is recording, but I can’t view the cameras via the app on my iPhone.

Generally happy with the app but when I go to notifications , press the 3 cogs for settings and I get app crashes and kicks me out . I have deleted and reinstalled but this issue is still there

It’s fine
The system is very good, it’s been installed 2 years. The only problems I have generally boil down to my lack of ability to use the system properly 🤷♂️
No notification
For some reason it’s stopped sending me alert notifications! Notifications is on and push is on .
I now only get them through email and that takes a while to come through. Zip notifications were instant . All the settings are set to receive .

Not intuitive
Had cameras installed today, can’t access the camera settings to disable the built in floodlights so have had lights burning all night. Not user friendly. Have a Ring floodlight on the garage that worked perfectly out the box without any hassle. Interface needs simplifying

I’ve spent two days exchanging emails with the service centre trying to resolve the issue of connecting the app to my DVR…..still no solution. The app is not intuitive and there is no troubleshooting data. Very disappointing as I am unable to monitor my cameras from my phone.
Zip app awesome
I use the zip app to monitor my Mothers internal & external cameras purchased from System Q cctv ( The only people to buy your cctv and associated equipment from ) Mum has Parkinson’s & Dementia so it was important to me to have reliable equipment installed. To date this equipment hasn’t let me or my Mother down. System Q and Zip software a perfect match keep up the amazing work..

Shocking awful software
The current app update does not allow the viewing footage previous to the current date. I can only see from midnight on the same day. Has worked fine previously, but stopped working. The design of the app is poor and not always self explanatory.
Bug report
I would like to report a bug in the zip vision pro v2 phone app. In Remote Settings-Motion-Area Settings, after selecting the areas covered there is no way to save the setting and go back without shutting down the app, the settings then being lost. Any chance of an update to rectify this? (iphone 12 ios16.1.1)

Every couple of weeks the remote playback using app just has spinning disc, I can fix by rebooting the zip recorder but this is annoying and could cause us to miss an intruder as we rely on app.
Slow
This takes way too long to load it always says offline & can take Minutes to load by that time whatever you wanted to look at has goneif your offered this by your tradsman tell them you dont want it

I have recently updated the app and the new PTZ control is so much better. I don’t know if this is a natural progression or as a result of my previous review but either way I really appreciate it.
I still have a couple of other improvements I’d like to see. The camera images take ages to load if you have had the app open previously, yet if you force close the app in the app dock and relaunch it the images generally appear almost straight away.
I sometimes receive alerts from my security alarm and by time the live image has loaded the event has passed and then I have to start trying to find it in the recording.
I’d also really like you to enable split screen viewing on the iPad app so I can be watching the cctv whilst using another app on the other half of the screen.
Overall though you have a good app now, with more functionality than the old alien DVR app which I am still using on a few legacy systems.

Update is a fail.
Since the update 5/22 it is terribly slow to load the Connection to the NVR. It also keeps reverting back to no camera selection so once selected goes by default to the 16 camera view.
It needs to remember the last settings in my opinion and not to forget loading quicker.

Good picture but annoying motion detector
Good picture and easy to use but when it rains or it picks up movement from a shadow off the trees it won’t stop pinging ya phone.. not sure if number 1 or 8 is the least setting for motion but do need fixing please
