Still better than going in person
I used this app today for the 1st time. Right off the bat I started to get frustrated with its functionality. It would let me paste things while making an account, typing a password and etc… but I was patient enough to go through it and everything went smooth after that.
Horrible App stuck in early 90s
Terrible app that hasn’t been updated in 20+ years. Everything is clunky and doesn’t work as described. I’d even go as far to say that this app is older than myself and I’m in my early 30s!!! I get simplicity but when your app doesn’t even open the camera to take a photo to be able to send earnest money that’s complete incompetence and neglect. I’d be willing to pay a nominal fee for the ease of not having to drop a physical check at the Title Agency since I’d be saving money on my banks wire fee. But I could NOT recommend this app enough. Don’t bother downloading if your agency recommends. Pay your banks wire fee or food that check off directly to them. This app WILL NOT FUNCTION!

Got the job done
The Zoccam app interface is ok; not entirely intuitive. For example, do you just fill in your name or all parties’ info? Then, unless you maneuver your phone around, you won’t get past the camera interface intro. So, input was a little clunky, but it did enable the check transfer once I figured it out, and it saved me a $20 wire fee.

Still works fine in 2026
Same as the last 2026 reviewer. I received instructions from my title company and used ZOCCAM for a real estate transaction (March 2026). Worked flawlessly with no errors. I also just manually entered my routing/account number, didn’t even need a check.

Tried to send money for home loan items. Did not work.
Clunky at best
I read the other reviews and agree that this software, in 2026, still leaves much to be desired. Starting with registration. Password is limited to eight digits. Not characters, digits. Automated hacking could bust that in milliseconds. No facial recognition login. Gotta remember those eight digits anytime I login. And after sending many thousands of earnest money, no confirmation message. I hit send and was just taken to the main menu.

Still sucks in 2026
How is it possible to muck up electronic deposit software in 2026 after everyone else worked out the kinks more than a decade ago?? This incredibly clunky, incredibly slow, incredibly incompetent app has inspired me to write my very first app review. Way to go zoccam! It starts out poorly with the account creation. No way to let a random password generator generate a password because there is no provision to copy the first password (or see it in its entirety) so one can re-enter the newly created password. Turns out it has to be all numbers - but of course zoccam doesn’t tell one that in advance. The demo page is blank. Super helpful that is. It is difficult to go back and make corrections or re-start (impossible in several areas) necessitating the need to close the app completely and start over. ONE. MORE. TIME. And what is with the image capture section? Point the camera at a wall to calibrate the camera? I mean this is 2026, pretty much everything does that automatically. Then one receives the spinning arrow of death and mayhem - for all eternity. I started over ten separate times - same dud. Checked my settings (there aren’t any for this clunker of an app). Removed the app and reloaded it. All to no avail. Just stuck on the black page of not-able-to-capture-an-image. It doesn’t even time out. I came back to it 10 minutes later, opened my phone, and it was still on the same page with the spinning arrow. Good thing the fate of humanity isn’t riding on this app - we’d all be doomed.

Works Fine in 2026
It’s time somebody reviewed this app recently. Guess that’s me. This app worked excellently. In all fairness, the title company associated with my buying agent provided instructions. They matched perfectly. I even discovered an option they didn’t mention: you can provide your banking info (RTN, Checking Account number) instead of snapping a picture of the front and back of a completed check— much faster! Great app. Better than calling your bank to do a wire transfer.

Constantly crashes. One of the worst types I’ve ever used. Just mail a check for your earnest money.

I never review apps, but the bad reviews on this one almost scared me off. It was just fine, I registered quickly and it saved me a $30 “wire“ fee.

tired looked at spinning ball getting nowhere. have done everything but still uninstalling @ reinstalling... hope someone comes up with a better one & i can ditch this!
Camera Failure
When I go to take a picture of a check, the app instructs me to rotate the phone, point at a wall, and then point at the check. Despite doing this, nothing happens. It also never asked permission for my camera in the settings and there is no way to enable or disable camera access.
Not useful
All this app wants to do is glitch when you want to take a picture of your check. Useless.

Does not work, don’t even bother to download. It just wasted my 30 minutes.

Crashes multiple times
ZOCCAM crashed multiple times while trying to submit a paper check. Lost all info each time. It also crashed after I submitted the check. I was unsure it was accepted until a received a confirmation email.
