Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: MusicCast Controller at Free against Enhanced Music Controller's $3.99. MusicCast Controller also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (41K vs 28). Enhanced Music Controller's advantage is review sentiment (77% vs 40%) and device support (4 vs 2). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

MusicCast Controller holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MusicCast Controller has 41K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of MusicCast Controller's written reviews are positive against 77% of Enhanced Music Controller's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
