Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Olarm at every 3 weeks against HYYP's every 3 months. HYYP's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (114 vs 32). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
HYYP holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 32 and 114 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Olarm's written reviews are positive against 52% of HYYP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Olarm ships an update every 3 weeks, HYYP every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
