Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Pancheros at none against Northern Lights Pizza's shown. Pancheros also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (11K vs 166). Northern Lights Pizza's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 59%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Pancheros holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pancheros has 11K ratings behind it against 166, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Northern Lights Pizza's written reviews are positive against 59% of Pancheros's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Northern Lights Pizza ships an update every 8 months, Pancheros every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
