Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: WorkJam at 4.7 against OnTheJob App's 3.3. WorkJam also leads on ratings volume (23K vs 153) and chart position (#110 vs unranked). OnTheJob App's advantage is iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
WorkJam holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WorkJam has 23K ratings behind it against 153, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of WorkJam's written reviews are positive against 22% of OnTheJob App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
WorkJam ships an update weekly, OnTheJob App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
