Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Anime Expo Official at 4.8 against CtrlMovie's 4.2. Anime Expo Official also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 14) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). CtrlMovie's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 12 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
