Provision Cam 2 holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Provision Cam 2 has 51 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Protegus Smart Security's written reviews are positive against 24% of Provision Cam 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Protegus Smart Security ships an update every 6 months, Provision Cam 2 every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
