Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Panasonic LUMIX Sync at 4.2 against Olfi's 3.0. Panasonic LUMIX Sync also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). Olfi's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Panasonic LUMIX Sync holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Panasonic LUMIX Sync has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Olfi's written reviews are positive against 15% of Panasonic LUMIX Sync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Olfi ships an update monthly, Panasonic LUMIX Sync every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
