Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: 20 Mule at free against Del Taco's free with in-app purchases. 20 Mule also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Del Taco's advantage is ratings volume (43K vs 44) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Del Taco against 4.8 for 20 Mule. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Del Taco has 43K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Del Taco ships an update every 5 weeks, 20 Mule every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
