Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Play Impossible Gameball at none against SoundEcho's 1. Play Impossible Gameball also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (964 vs 3). SoundEcho's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 72%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SoundEcho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Play Impossible Gameball asks for nothing beyond the download.
Play Impossible Gameball holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Play Impossible Gameball has 964 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Play Impossible Gameball's written reviews are positive against 100% of SoundEcho's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Play Impossible Gameball ships an update every 6 weeks, SoundEcho every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
