Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Scholar Z at 5.0 against Furlenco's 4.5. Scholar Z also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Furlenco's advantage is ratings volume (415 vs 2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Scholar Z holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Furlenco has 415 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Furlenco's written reviews are positive against 46% of Scholar Z's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Furlenco ships an update every 9 days, Scholar Z every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
