Vibration meter is an app called seismograph or seismometer, which measures the strength of vibration, quakes, earthquakes, vibrations of the human body or any other objects around you. Our app allows for detecting and recording of seismic waves generated by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, avalanches and other sources of vibration and shocks. Accelerometer in your mobile phone is used for detection of vibrations and measurement analysis. Graph presents a record of the ground motion at a measuring point. Ground movement or an object is presented as a function of time in the three Cartesian axes, with the z axis perpendicular to the Earth's surface and the x- and y- axes parallel to the surface. Mercalli intensity scale is a seismic scale used for measuring the intensity of an earthquake. It measures the effects of an earthquake and it is distinct from the moment of magnitude. Richter Scale assigns a magnitude number to quantify the energy released by an earthquake. Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) is equal to the maximum ground acceleration that occurred during earthquake shaking at location. PGA is equal to the amplitude of the largest absolute acceleration recorded on an accelerogram at a site during a particular earthquake. In this app we use Instrumental Intensity Scale (developed by The United States Geological Survey) which maps peak ground acceleration and peak ground velocity on an intensity scale similar to the felt Mercalli Scale. These values are used to create shake maps by seismologists on around the world. Mercalli Intensity Scale distinguishes the following levels of vibration and impact damage: I. Instrumental - Not felt. Recorded by seismographs. II. Weak - Felt only on top floors of high buildings. III. Slight - Felt indoors, like a passing light truck. IV. Moderate - Windows, doors rattle. Like passing train. V. Rather Strong - Felt by all. Small objects upset. VI. Strong - Books off shelves. Trees shake. Damage. VII. Very Strong - Difficult to stand. Buildings damaged. VIII. Destructive - Significant damage. Trees broken. IX. Violent - General panic. Serious damage. Cracks. X. Intense - Most buildings destroyed. Rails bent. XI. Extreme - Rails bent greatly. Pipelines destroyed. XII. Catastrophic - Near total damage. This app allows you monitor and share the results of your measurements with other users. Measure and monitor all vibration and shocks using smartphone or tablet!

> Detect Invisible Fields: Find the ElectroMagnetic Fields around you in seconds > Pro-Grade Precision: High-accuracy Magnetic Field Analyzer & Gauss Meter with Advanced Signal Stabilization. > Record, Analyze & Export: track trends with interactive data charts and save detailed logs for professional analysis. Check out the areas where you work (desk, meeting rooms), where you sleep (bed), where you relax (couch, living room) and find the levels of EMF you are exposed to. Also use the app to measure the fields emitted by your appliances (computer, fridge, speaker, phone...). PROFESSIONAL MAGNETIC FIELD ANALYZER & GAUSS METER: Discover the invisible magnetic world around you. Using your device’s internal magnetometer, the app provides a comprehensive look at the electromagnetic fields (ELF) generated by electronic devices, wiring, and ferromagnetic materials. NEW PROFESSIONAL FEATURES: - 3-Axis Vector Analysis: Real-time $x, y,$ and $z$ coordinate tracking for precise field directionality. - Interactive History Graphs: Visualize time evolution with high-resolution charts that track spikes and trends. - Clean Signal Mode (LPF): Toggle an advanced Low-Pass Filter to stabilize readings and remove sensor jitter for professional-grade clarity - Save & Export Logs: Record your sessions and export data for further analysis in external software. VERSATILE USE CASES: Electronics Inspection: Measure the magnetic footprint of computers, speakers, and home appliances. Metal Detection: Locate ferromagnetic objects like iron pipes or steel studs behind walls. Interference Calibration: Find the "quietest" zones for sensitive electronic equipment or audio setups. USER EXPECTATIONS & DISCLOSURE: This app is designed as a sophisticated utility for detecting Magnetic Fields (ELF). What it detects: Magnetic flux from magnets, ferrous metals, and the low-frequency electromagnetic fields emitted by electronic components, power supplies, and speakers. What it does NOT detect: This app is not a radio frequency (RF) scanner. It cannot detect Wi-Fi signals, Bluetooth, 5G cellular radiation, or microwave leakage. DISCLAIMER: - This app is intended for educational and utility purposes. It is not a substitute for certified industrial or scientific equipment. It does not provide medical advice or guarantee "safe zones" in a clinical sense. This app does not guarantee exact measures as other fields can interfere with the compass inside your phone, which is used to detect the fields. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ads: Vibration Meter, seismograph at none against EMF Radiation Detector Reader's shown. Vibration Meter, seismograph also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). EMF Radiation Detector Reader's advantage is review sentiment (54% vs 42%) and ratings volume (5K vs 729). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vibration Meter, seismograph sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and EMF Radiation Detector Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Vibration Meter, seismograph holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EMF Radiation Detector Reader has 5K ratings behind it against 729, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Vibration Meter, seismograph's written reviews are positive against 54% of EMF Radiation Detector Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Vibration Meter, seismograph ships an update every 7 months, EMF Radiation Detector Reader every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
