Equitapp finds the estimated intrinsic value of any given stock using the DCF (discounted cash flow) valuation method. To do so, it derives the intrinsic value from data of four (4) required parameters. The parameters are the 5 year average Free Cash Flow, 5 year Exp EPS Growth, Discount Rate (expected return or cost of equity, purely subjective) and Shares Outstanding. Based on the parameters you enter, it generates an estimated intrinsic value for the stock and market cap. Description of the parameters are provided and how/where to get them, along with steps on how the calculations are done. All of your valuations are saved and editable for you to reference back to, so you can now toss your big Excel spreadsheets. Features include: - Customer Support: 24hr support on any questions and help with valuation - Research: Able to do research in-app through Wall Street Journal and Zacks Investment Research - Push Notifications: Keep you update on what's going on in the stock market - Sharing: Ability to share screenshots of your valuations with friends and family and save them in your Photos

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: AlphaSense at Free against Equitapp's $4.99. AlphaSense also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (80 vs 2). Equitapp's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

AlphaSense is free to download; Equitapp costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Equitapp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AlphaSense has 80 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of AlphaSense's written reviews are positive against 50% of Equitapp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AlphaSense ships an update every 3 weeks, Equitapp every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
