Very simple web browser that supports the key web bluetooth javascript APIs, with bookmarks and console log viewing support. *** Overview *** Using this app you can navigate to a site written in javascript that can interact with your bluetooth (low energy) devices. This allows you to write your applications for use with devices such as puck.js in a language you are more familiar with (i.e. javascript) and be able to use it from your iOS device. Use the built-in console viewer to debug issues when running your site on WebBLE. Security is important for bluetooth device access, and so only sites that use https are supported, and it is not possible to connect to a bluetooth device without permission being granted by the user. Initially the following key APIs are supported: - bluetooth.requestDevice() - bluetooth.getAvailability() - BluetoothDevice.gatt - BluetoothDevice.addEventListener('gattserverdisconnected', cb) - BluetoothRemoteGATTServer.connect() - BluetoothRemoteGATTServer.disconnect() - BluetoothRemoteGATTServer.getPrimaryService() - BluetoothRemoteGATTService.getCharacteristic() - BluetoothRemoteGATTCharacteristic.writeValue() - BluetoothRemoteGATTCharacteristic.writeValueWithResponse() - BluetoothRemoteGATTCharacteristic.writeValueWithoutResponse() - BluetoothRemoteGATTCharacteristic.readValue() - BluetoothRemoteGATTCharacteristic.startNotifications() - BluetoothRemoteGATTCharacteristic.stopNotifications() - BluetoothRemoteGATTCharacteristic.addEventListener("characteristicvaluechanged", cb)

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: ev.energy at Free against WebBLE's $1.99. ev.energy also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.6) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). WebBLE's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (47% vs 30%). On ads there is nothing between them.

ev.energy is free to download; WebBLE costs $1.99 up front. ev.energy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per month. WebBLE asks for nothing beyond the download.
ev.energy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ev.energy has 3.1K ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of WebBLE's written reviews are positive against 30% of ev.energy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
WebBLE ships an update every 3 months, ev.energy every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
