Disappointing
The app constantly disconnects so I never get the rebates that should come with a peak charging.

App struggles to refresh
The app really struggles to refresh data. For example car has been plugged in for a couple of hours but the app says 70% charged lasted updated 2 days ago.
No matter what I do it just doesn’t refresh the info.

Awful app
This is the most non intelligent app (they claim they have an algorithm—PLEASE) to monitor. Listen when I plug in the charger at work where I have free charging and not at home it should know and charge on priority not on some poorly implemented scheduler in the app. If there was no monetary benefit or rebates I would get rid of this app right away. There is no reason to create stress to the user when the user plugs it in with intention to charge and the app forces the vehicle to not charge. At least implement a popup to override whenever plugged in. That simple—than some “algorithm” that is poorly developed.

Smart charging not smart
I have set my off peak hours and tariff. Vehicle ready time by 7:20 am. Sometimes when I get home I have only 3 hours to charge to get it back up to the recommended 80%. The vehicle finishes charging at 1 am using 30 min of off peak and 3 hours of on peak. What’s the point? When you switch it to charge only in off peak and you need more than 5 hours the vehicle is not fully charged. You would think it would use the smallest Amount of on peak and maximise the off peak?? I have been trying to get in touch but EO and ev.energy seem to not exist. Poor non existing customer service! Don’t bother with either of these products

Brilliant
We’ve used this app for the past 6 years and wouldn’t be without it. It’s easy to set up smart charges, gives financial reports and Amazon vouchers as a reward for your use. Support is brilliant if you have a query and the response is quick. So …. What more could you want to make owning an electric vehicle easy!

Starts Charging immediately car is plugged in!!!
I have the app set to only ‘only charge off-peak’ as I get a cheaper rate at night.
I normally plug the car in late afternoon and several times have looked at the smart meter to see the over 7kwh is being used. I have to click the Boost button then Stop Boost to cancel. It then charges overnight.
Several times I have not looked at the smart meter until later and see that the daily budget has been exceeded!

Cant connect to mybmw. Capcha states network sent to many request. Tried more then 10 times over the last week
Charges Whenever It Feels Like It
Forced to use this app when EO closed theirs down. This app’s smart feature seems to charge my car whenever it feels like it. It should have a simple time set feature so that I can set my car to charge overnight and take advantage of the low energy tariffs. You can select different provider tariffs, but you can’t see what rates are applied for those so just have to trust that it’s picking the correct rates which it’s then using for its ‘smart charge’
Customer care has been replaced by a chat bot… rises the above issues and receive an auto email for a completely different issue! So frustrating!!

Unreliable
Failed to charge the car again. Had to stop early into a 4h drive to charge. Late again.
Easy to use, great program
Have been using EV Energy for over 2 years now. I find the app intuitive and very easy to use. Am a big fan of this system for leveraging power access with the grid in both directions. Time to dump big oil and transfer subsidies to EVs!
Absolutely Useless
Two cars and my EO charger connected to the app. Programmed to only charge with the cheap overnight rate, but It continually fails to initiate the charging session, leaving me with an uncharged car in the morning. This app has made my charger dumb.

I have an email address which ends with “.contact”
The app will not allow me to log on saying it’s invalid email address. Guess what? The website allowed me to use it and I can log on to the website. Please fix!!
