Doses is a medication tracker designed to be calm, clear, and easy to read, whether it's for you, your kids, or someone you love. Every screen shows when it's time for the next dose at a glance. Log a dose with one tap, and everyone helping sees it right away. I built Doses after a close family member came home from surgery with a sheet of instructions. Between me, my spouse, and her friends, we were texting each other at 3am to ask who gave what, and when. Doses does the math for every medication, rings when it's time, and keeps everyone on the same page. EASY TO READ, FOR EVERYONE Every screen works with large text, all the way up to the largest accessibility sizes, and rearranges itself so nothing gets cut off. A dark mode made for the middle of the night is easy on tired eyes. ALARMS MADE TO BE HEARD Turn on an alarm for any medication and your iPhone rings when it's time for the next dose, even in Silent mode. Choose from six calm sounds, one for daytime and one for nighttime. Not ready yet? Remind Me In rings again in 15 minutes to 2 hours. AT A GLANCE, WITHOUT OPENING THE APP Widgets for your Home and Lock Screens show when it's time for the next dose, with Tap to Dose right there. Or ask Siri, "What am I due to take next?" FOR YOU, YOUR KIDS, AND THE PEOPLE YOU CARE FOR Keep your own medications, your kids', and anyone you look after, and switch between them with one tap. CARE TOGETHER Invite family, friends, or a nurse through iCloud. Everyone sees the same list and who gave each dose, and access can end on a date you choose. SEE THE PATTERN History shows when each dose was taken over the past weeks, so you can see what's working and what's slipping. KNOW WHEN IT'S TIME TO REFILL Turn on refill tracking for any medication and Doses counts down the doses left as you log them, with an estimate of how many days they'll last. When it's running low, a badge shows the days left, and you can mark it ordered and received, with a note on where to refill it. SET UP FROM A PHOTO Photograph a pill bottle, a pharmacy label, or discharge instructions. Apple Intelligence reads it on your iPhone, and you check everything before it's added. Works on iPhones that support Apple Intelligence. SCHEDULES THAT MATCH THE INSTRUCTIONS Every few hours, a range like every 4 to 6 hours, a few times a day, or certain days of the week, with a daily limit if there is one, or as needed, just to keep track. Set sleep hours and doses wait until morning. PRIVATE BY DESIGN There's no account, no ads, and no tracking. Your medications stay on your devices and in your own iCloud, shared only with the people you invite. Doses tracks the schedule you enter and doesn't give medical advice. Follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist, and in an emergency, call 911.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Bigtoe at 4.7 against Doses's 3.0. Bigtoe also leads on ratings volume (2.4K vs 2) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Doses's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
