WeavingGem is an app for weavers who want to design patterns and effortlessly move through each phase of their weaving project – from planning and setup through warping, threading and weaving. Large visual beads show your exact warp end, threading group, or treadle pick, so counting stays clear and readable at the loom. Design and edit weaving drafts right in the app, or import patterns from your favourite weaving software. Then track every step hands-free as you wind, thread, and weave. DESIGN & PLAN Unified Draft Canvas: Paint threading, tie-up, and treadling and watch the woven cloth preview update in real time. Yarn & Color Matching: Tint warp and weft bars to match your actual yarn stash. Smart Warp Calculations: Estimate warp requirements based on finished dimensions, width, take-up, loom waste, and samples. Flexible Units: Plan projects seamlessly in inches or centimeters. STAY IN YOUR FLOW AT THE LOOM Warping Mode: Wind warp ends in perfect sequence without losing count. Threading Mode: Follow shafts, threading direction, and yarn colors with clear focus cards. Weaving Mode: Track treadling patterns, shaft lifts, and picks effortlessly. Hands-Free Control: Keep your hands on the shuttle or heddles by using simple voice commands (“next”, “back”) or your Apple Watch companion. Mistake Recovery: Jump directly to any thread end or pick to verify a repeat or fix a mistake. Studio Reliability: Fully functional offline at the loom with no logins, accounts, or cloud uploads required. TAILORED TO YOUR SPECIFIC LOOM SETUP Choose between treadle or shaft display modes. Configurable for rising shed (jack looms) and sinking shed (counterbalance and countermarch looms). Supports right-to-left or left-to-right threading directions. Draft support from 4 to 16 shafts.
