Verdict
Molekule and Woosh Air both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of Woosh Air's written reviews are positive against 17% of Molekule's. Woosh Air also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Molekule's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 11). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Molekule against 4.5 for Woosh Air. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Molekule has 12K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 17% of Molekule's written reviews are positive against 50% of Woosh Air's.
Molekule ships an update every 2 months, Woosh Air every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
