Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: MDHearing at 4.1 against Easy Hearing Test's 3.4. MDHearing also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 16). Easy Hearing Test's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 37%) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 12.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
MDHearing holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MDHearing has 1.8K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of MDHearing's written reviews are positive against 67% of Easy Hearing Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MDHearing ships an update every 2 months, Easy Hearing Test every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
