PKD Compass is a personal health journal for people living with polycystic kidney disease (PKD). Keep your recorded results, daily logs, medications, documents, and appointments together for conversations with your healthcare team. IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER PKD Compass is for personal health tracking and information only, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek your doctor's advice in addition to using this app and before making any medical decisions. The app does not replace your doctor, a medical examination, or your official medical records. Do not start, stop, or change medication, treatment, diet, or fluid intake based on app content without guidance from your healthcare professional. For a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately; do not rely on this app for emergency assessment or assistance. KEEP YOUR HEALTH INFORMATION ORGANIZED Lab and symptom journal Record lab results, dates, units, symptoms, and notes. View recorded values over time. Charts, reference ranges, and status indicators are informational aids, not a diagnosis, prediction of disease progression, or confirmation that your kidney function is stable. Your clinician should interpret results in your individual clinical context. Blood pressure log Enter readings from your blood pressure monitor and organize them into a weekly log with averages and a shareable report. PKD Compass does not measure blood pressure, continuously monitor your health, or alert a clinician when you record a concerning reading. Follow your clinician's measurement schedule and instructions. Medication journal and reminders Record medications, prescribed doses, schedules, logged doses, and remaining supply. Reminders help organize your routine; they are not prescribing or dosing advice and may be missed or delayed. Verify medication instructions with your doctor or pharmacist. Food and fluid diary Log meals, estimated nutrients, and fluids. Compare recorded intake with configured targets. Estimates and default targets may not be appropriate for you; agree on individual nutrition and fluid goals with your doctor or renal dietitian. Document vault Keep copies of reports and visit documents. Optional automated document summaries can be incorrect or incomplete. Check the original document and confirm findings with your clinician before acting. Care organizer and resources Keep personal appointments, tasks, and timeline entries together, and explore kidney-health resources. Recording an appointment does not book a visit with a provider. Resource listings do not constitute medical advice or endorsement. ACCOUNT AND DATA The iPhone and iPad app uses an account and backend services. Account features, synchronization, document uploads, searches, and optional analysis can require an internet connection. Data you choose to store or upload may be transmitted to backend services. If you consent to optional AI document analysis, document content and related information may be sent to an external AI service. Review the in-app disclosures and Privacy Policy before using these features. This is not the separate local-only desktop edition.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: PKD Compass at 100% against Whole Eats's 22%. PKD Compass also leads on price (Free vs $2.99) and rating (5.0 vs 4.4). Whole Eats's advantage is ratings volume (7.8K vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.0). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
