OCMedic brings Orange County EMS reference tools together on your iPhone and iPad. FIND WHAT YOU NEED WITH ASSIST Ask in everyday language to find OCMedic guides, original OCEMS documents, hospital specialties, and app actions. Follow up with questions such as “What about pediatrics?” or ask to see neuro receiving centers. Compatible devices with Apple Intelligence available can interpret questions on device. Reference search remains available when Apple Intelligence is unavailable. Open the source to review the guidance. HOSPITALS, CONTACTS & LIVE TILES Filter hospitals by listed specialty, compare available Apple Maps driving estimates, view maps, open directions, and contact base hospitals. Consistent specialty colors make categories easier to recognize. The hospital list and closest-hospital Live Activity use the same predictable ordering when some estimates are unavailable. Pin a selected or closest hospital on supported devices. Location continues in the background only while hospital Live Activities are active; availability and device settings affect updates. GUIDES READY WHEN YOU ARE Browse field guides and original county reference PDFs. Download individual guides or Download All for offline reading. Saved guides open immediately, even on weak connections. Refresh your downloads when updates are published. The reader supports larger text, tables, illustrations, section links, and sharing. Verified saved content remains available if an update cannot finish. SIRI ACTIONS INCLUDED Ask Siri to find nearby hospitals, open guides or original protocols, or start a reference search. Actions come with the app—there is no need to create personal shortcuts first. Siri, language, location, and device settings affect availability; opening content may require unlocking your phone. SIMPLER PROFESSIONAL ACCESS Approved access is preserved when you update the same installation. New requests use a name field, an Orange County employer picker, a free-text license number, and optional notes. Administrators can ask a question without approving or denying your request. Read and reply in the app, with generic new-message alerts when notifications are enabled. Protected facility information requires approval and Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode. Approval refreshes online and remains available offline for up to seven days. Approval does not grant facility-entry permission. FEEDBACK & FRESH CONTENT Send feedback or suggestions from Settings and continue the conversation with OCMedic there. Published updates can refresh guides, reference PDFs, hospital details, contacts, links, announcements, and information pages. A calmer launch keeps optional setup from interrupting each visit. OCMedic is an independent reference resource and is not affiliated with Orange County EMS. It does not replace current official protocols, medical direction, professional judgment, or verification of a receiving facility’s current status. Hospital listings do not confirm live availability, diversion, or acceptance. Driving estimates reflect ordinary traffic, not emergency-vehicle routing. No ReddiNet status integration is included. OCMedic does not dispatch emergency help.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: OCMedic at 100% against NREMT's 37%. OCMedic also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and chart position (#190 vs unranked). NREMT's advantage is price (Free vs $4.99) and ratings volume (8K vs 8). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
