Verdict
MAC.BID and Vista Auction both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of MAC.BID's written reviews are positive against 41% of Vista Auction's. MAC.BID also leads on ratings volume (41K vs 2.7K) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for MAC.BID against 4.8 for Vista Auction. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MAC.BID has 41K ratings behind it against 2.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of MAC.BID's written reviews are positive against 41% of Vista Auction's.
MAC.BID ships an update weekly, Vista Auction fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
