One app for all of your events. Track participants on an events course map, view real-time leaderboards, receive participant progress alerts and important updates from events. • View & share results and rankings. • Find event landmarks with the course map. • Track participants via GPS. • Accept or decline tracking notifications. • Receive push notifications for followed participants. • Take and share event photos with all other spectators and participants using the app. • Easily follow and stay up-to-date with Marathons, 5Ks, 10Ks and Triathlons near you. In the Watch app, Apple’s HealthKit is used to collect heart rate and exercise data, and at the end of a run, the workout is saved to Healthkit. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

FiveBoroRun helps you catch your runner at the New York City Marathon — even when they're moving faster than you can walk. Enter your runner's wave start and goal time, and the app works out when they'll pass each of 12 hand-picked spots along the course, from Bay Ridge in Brooklyn to the finish in Central Park. THE ONE NUMBER THAT MATTERS For the next spot you can still reach, FiveBoroRun tells you when to walk out the door — not just how much time is left. It accounts for the subway ride from where you actually are, plus the walk from the station to the course, which at some spots is four long blocks. LIVE SUBWAY DATA • Next trains at your station, with the destination so you know which way they're going • Service alerts, shown only when no trains are actually stopping there • One-tap transit directions in Apple Maps IT LEARNS AS THE RACE GOES ON Tap "I saw them pass here" the moment your runner goes by, and every estimate recalculates on their real pace instead of the time they entered months ago. Do it twice and the app uses the pace of their latest stretch — because almost nobody holds an even pace after halfway. KNOW WHERE TO STAND Each spot has a map showing the race course itself and which direction the runners come from, so you don't end up on the wrong side of the street. ALSO INCLUDED • Multiple runners, each with their own schedule • Optional bib number, with a link to the official NYRR tracking • Alerts when it's time to head out, and when your runner should be finishing • Race-day info: wave start times, how to read a bib, and what happens after the finish line • The 2026 course change in the Bronx FiveBoroRun is an independent project built for spectators, by a spectator. It is not affiliated with New York Road Runners, the TCS New York City Marathon, or the MTA. All times are estimates — always confirm official race and transit information on race day.
