Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: RUN interval at 4.7 against PaceShouter's 1.0. RUN interval also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). PaceShouter's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 77%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. RUN interval sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and PaceShouter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
RUN interval holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RUN interval has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of RUN interval's written reviews are positive against 100% of PaceShouter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
RUN interval ships an update every 3 months, PaceShouter every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
