Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tangem at free against Arculus Wallet's paid. Tangem also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Tangem holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tangem has 25K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Tangem's written reviews are positive against 85% of Arculus Wallet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Tangem ships an update every 5 days, Arculus Wallet monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
