Both are free to download. SDBplay 2 sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. MyDolphin Plus asks for nothing beyond the download.
MyDolphin Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyDolphin Plus has 8.9K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of MyDolphin Plus's written reviews are positive against 35% of SDBplay 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MyDolphin Plus ships an update every 2 months, SDBplay 2 every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
