Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Blackbinder at none against ScorePDF's shown. Blackbinder also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15). ScorePDF's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Blackbinder sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month and ScorePDF sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
ScorePDF holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScorePDF has 437 ratings behind it against 79, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of Blackbinder's written reviews are positive against 67% of ScorePDF's.
Blackbinder ships an update fortnightly, ScorePDF every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
