Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is a common condition affecting the inner ear balance system. This educational tool shows the common and recommended tests and treatment manoeuvres for BPPV in easy to follow animations. Animations show you how to perform diagnostic tests for the posterior and horizontal canals. Each animation shows the direction of eye movements (nystagmus) seen with a positive test. This will help you improve your ability to detect and interpret nystagmus. Animations showing the common treatment manoeuvres also show the semicircular canals moving in the same plane as the head with the crystals moving around and out of the canal during each manoeuvre. BPPV Relief was created by a Physiotherapist who has successfully treated over 2000 people with BPPV. It follows the same steps used to diagnose and treat BPPV in her dizziness clinic. It draws on lessons learnt over time perfecting the skills required to treat BPPV effectively. The tests and treatments are all commonly used and follow evidence based recommendations by the Clinical Practice Guideline for BPPV updated in 2017 by the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery Foundation. This App is designed for: 1. Health Professionals who specialise in treating people with dizziness and vertigo. 2. Health Professionals who see people with dizziness but who don’t have access to specialists to help with diagnosis and treatment. 3. Health Professionals who are training others to treat BPPV. This is a great teaching tool. 4. People who have been diagnosed with BPPV by a qualified Health Professional and have been instructed by them to do a particular treatment manoeuvre at home as part of the treatment regime while under their care. 5. People who have been diagnosed with BPPV by a qualified Health Professional and been treated successfully and safely with repositioning manoeuvres, who wish to self manage recurrences. This App is not a substitute for medical advice. We advise you to see a Health Professional before using this App.

FieldMedic — Remote & Austere Medicine Reference Built for trained medics working where help is far away — expedition, military, maritime and prehospital. Fully offline. WHAT'S INCLUDED Conditions — 129 conditions across first aid, trauma, medical emergencies, environmental, tropical and specialist areas, each with symptoms, step-by-step management, medications and evacuation criteria. Symptom Filter — Tick the findings in front of you and the app lists every condition in its library that features them, in alphabetical order. It does not score, rank or shortlist them, and it never indicates which is more likely — that judgement stays with you. Vital Signs — NEWS2 from HR, RR, SpO2, BP, temperature and ACVPU, with action guidance and automatic Shock Index. Includes Scale 2 (COPD) and a supplemental-oxygen option. Log to a patient file to track trends. In-Field Timers — Countdowns for reassessments, drug re-dosing, tourniquet time and observation cycles. Alerts fire with haptics even when the phone is locked, log to the patient's file, and stay in step across your team with Beacon. Medications — 57 medications with pre-administration safety checklists, field dosing, interactions and contraindications. Always verify dosing against current guidelines. Smart Kit List — Pick your terrain and FieldMedic maps a kit to the conditions you'll face, so you catch critical gaps before you leave. Tag where each item is packed and see which pouch a drug is in at the point of care. Export as PDF. Patient Files — One file per person, like real medical records: history, allergies, medications and emergency contact, then incidents with AMPLE history, vitals, treatment notes, triage priority and ATMIST handover. Full evacuation management (ETHANE, planning, comms log). Protected by Face ID. Pre-Departure Screening — Collect the group's medical details before the trip via a private QR form or a spreadsheet import. Nothing touches a server. Medic Team & Peer Sync — Build your medic team and sync patient files directly between iPhones — no internet, no server — after confirming who you're connecting to. Or share a single file in one tap. FieldMedic Beacon — The optional connected layer (subscription). End-to-end encrypted cloud backup, whole-team sync, and a desktop Records Portal to review, export and print the trip on a computer. Zero-knowledge: encrypted with a key only your team holds. Nothing uploads unless you turn it on. Requires FieldMedic Pro. Guided Scenario — Learn the app by working a realistic case, fully sandboxed from your real data. CLINICAL STANDARDS Compiled against published sources including BNF, NICE, JRCALC, WHO, Wilderness Medical Society and Resuscitation Council UK. Every condition shows its sources and the date it was last reviewed. Content is overseen and audited by our Chief Medical Officer.
