LA Wallet will allow you to keep a digital representation of your current Louisiana-issued state ID or driver's license. The app will generate a unique image that is 100% Legal for driving purposes per Louisiana law of Act 625 of the 2016 session and approved by the Louisiana ATC for age-restricted purchases at various local restaurants, bars, and retail outlets. Once a user activates their current, valid license in LA Wallet, the digital driver’s license is valid for the life of the user’s current identity credential issuance. When the user’s physical license expires, they must renew their license with the OMV or through the LA Wallet app, if eligible. Additionally, LA Wallet offers the paid service VerifyYou™ Pro, an age-verification tool that helps keep businesses ATC compliant when offering home delivery of age-restricted goods.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: LA Wallet at 3.4 against BlockedTrax's 2.6. LA Wallet also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 5). BlockedTrax's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 31%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockedTrax sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. LA Wallet asks for nothing beyond the download.
LA Wallet holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LA Wallet has 1.2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of LA Wallet's written reviews are positive against 50% of BlockedTrax's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
LA Wallet ships an update every 6 weeks, BlockedTrax monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
