Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: NEXUS at 100% against GlobalProtect™'s 16%. NEXUS also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). GlobalProtect™'s advantage is rating (4.4 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
GlobalProtect™ holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GlobalProtect™ has 2.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of GlobalProtect™'s written reviews are positive against 100% of NEXUS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
GlobalProtect™ ships an update every 3 months, NEXUS monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
