Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Halo Playback at free against MyNextbase Connect's free with in-app purchases. Halo Playback also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). MyNextbase Connect's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
