Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Krush Kandy at none against Marika's shown. Krush Kandy also leads on ratings volume (2K vs 2) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Marika's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 70%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Marika holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Krush Kandy has 2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Krush Kandy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Marika's.
Krush Kandy ships an update fortnightly, Marika every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
