RESO.cool… what’s that? RESO.cool is a free mobile App designed for you and with you in mind. What does RÉSO stands for? RÉSO is a french acronym for Réseau (Network), Écoute (Listen), Soutien (Support), Oriente (Guide). Simply said, the RÉSO listens, supports and guides you when you need it the most. So, what does RESO.cool do? It is a playful and stimulating environment where you are invited to fill a tool box. Your toolbox is a list of ideas and information that you gather while you are doing well, in order to have answers and strategies at times when nothing is going right. Sometimes, when your feelings get confused, when the pain and/or suffering takes up all the space or when you are faced with great difficulty, thinking about solutions to get better becomes almost impossible. By putting your safety plan in your phone, you have access to a solution to get you moving when everything isn’t working so well. You will find within the App: • Tips on taking care of yourself • Signs and changes to look out for that will guide you in helping your friend(s) when you may be worried about them, but also the resources necessary for you to provide the best help possible. • Easy to use tools in order to be able to identify those moments when you don’t feel so good and what to do when they occur. • Easy access to resources available 24/7 in order to talk to someone, to be listened to, to chat on-line, without being judged, with people who understand what you are going though. • Easily and from you phone or tablet, you will be able to find the resource that is closest to your location thanks to the geolocation feature included. The purpose of RESO.cool is to support you by putting all this information within the same App in order to help you prevent difficult times and to know how to deal with them without too much hassle. The App also does this: • Provides simple and effective teaching material to the different counsellors, teachers and/ help providers so that the application is always used in the best way possible. • Educate people who will be part of your network by directing them to a simple and comprehensive website informing them about the resources, sites to visit, attitudes to adopt etc. and that regardless if it's for your friend, parent, significant adult, teacher, or counsellor.

Note: This version is free to download, allowing you to purchase individual rows of levels (Lines) as you go. If you prefer to unlock all 9 Lines at once with a single upfront payment, please check out our full version: Bloops! English Integral. Bloops! was created to learn to read with pleasure. This playful application was designed by two teachers who specialized in learning difficulties and troubles. Description of educational content: 1) Our learners will learn to read across the different levels. Our approach combined the evidence-based data including the science of reading with some of the fundamental principles of a speech therapy approach such as sound confusions. 2) Chronometer (optional) The chronometer allows the player to improve his reading time and improve his reading fluency. 3) Structured visual cue (energy vial) The energy vial indicates to the player the number of items successfully completed and the number of items remaining. Behind the monstrous Bloops! concept: Annie Lussier, B.Ed., developed the original pedagogical concept. Mrs. Lussier owns her own private learning support clinic (Clinique Apprendre!) and she has been working in the private sector for more than 20 years. She is also a board game author for Passe-Temps publishing. She gives conferences and workshops to teachers and parents. Manon Bellefleur, B.Ed. is the author of the English version of Bloops! She is currently completing her master degree in education specializing in learning difficulties and troubles. She has been teaching in the public sector for 16 years. She also worked as a co-author and pedagogical advisor for several publishing houses and as a research assistant at UQTR. Developed by two educational professionals, the progression of each level respects the stages of syllabic reading acquisition. Bloops! offers a fair, reasonable and motivating challenge that considers each learner’s progress. The focus is primarily on recognizing simple sounds and words while addressing sound confusions. Bloops! combines the progression of English reading with certain fundamental principles of speech therapy. Parents and education specialists are interested in this playful educational application because it targets beginner and intermediate readers. It is also recommended for young learners with reading difficulties or disorders (e.g., dyslexia, autism, etc.). Game objective: The player must listen to the sounds or words given orally and identify the correct answer among the bubbles offered by the monsters. After 5 successes, the player earns a 5 seconds gameplay page and after 20 successes (vial filled), the player is led to discover a new monster with increased reading complexity. For the reading learners, the goal is to collect as many monsters as possible and improve their own time when replaying a monster! With Bloops!, learning to read becomes monstrously fun!
