Both are free to download. Gym Buddy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Training Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.
Training Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gym Buddy has 54 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Gym Buddy's written reviews are positive against 0% of Training Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
